AlazarTech Introduces New Environmentally Friendly and Light Weight Packaging for its PCI and PCI Express Waveform Digitizers and Starts Distributing Software Drivers on USB Flash Drive

Montreal, Canada (July 28, 2011) AlazarTech, a manufacturer of high performance, low cost PC Based Instruments, today introduced new, environmentally friendly and light weight packaging for its family of PCI Express waveform digitizers.

The new packaging is form-fitted to AlazarTech boards and is made out of ESD-conductive PVC that is 100% recyclable and reusable.

Not only is this packaging friendly to the environment, it is also friendly to the wallet. By reducing the dimensions and weight of the shipping box, this new packaging can reduce transport charges by as much as 66%.

“Our OEM customers told us that they wanted lower transport cost and a lower carbon footprint”, stated Muneeb Khalid, President of AlazarTech. “So we designed the new packaging to reduce shipping costs and reduce unnecessary packaging, but also to improve protection against electrostatic discharge”.

Along with the new packaging, AlazarTech also started distributing its software drivers on a reusable 4 GB USB flash drive.

The new packaging is in use as of July 2011.
