AlazarTech Digitizers Now Fully Support 64-Bit Windows and 64-Bit Linux Operating Systems - Are Vista Ready
Montreal, Canada (November 2, 2006) - AlazarTech, a manufacturer of PC Based Instruments, today announced the release of 64-bit Windows and 64-bit Linux drivers for its family of high performance, low cost PCI Digitizers.

AlazarTech's 64-bit Windows drivers not only support Windows XP x64, but are also Vista-ready.  All AlazarTech drivers are fully compatible with Intel and AMD single-processor and multi-processor systems, including the popular dual-core processors.

64-bit Linux drivers were compiled and tested on the popular Fedora Core 5 x86-64 operating system.  Other flavors of Linux can also be supported, if the user recompiles the driver source code with the appropriate kernel files.  A non-disclosure agreement is required.

"Many of our OEM and R&D customers asked for 64-bit operating system support in order to take full advantage of the latest 64-bit processors", stated Muneeb Khalid, President of AlazarTech.  "Support for 64-bit operating systems is also aligned with our product strategy of staying on the cutting edge of technology to provide the best and most cost-effective solutions for our OEM customers".

OEMs can integrate AlazarTech's PCI digitizers into their own systems very easily using the Windows XP/2000/98SE and Windows XP x64 (and Vista) compatible ATS-SDK Software Development Kit.  This SDK includes sample programs written in C/C++ and VisualBASIC.  A high performance LabVIEW VI, called ATS-VI, is also available.  A Linux driver, ATS-Linux, is also available and supports kernel version up to 2.6.

AlazarTech, headquartered in Montreal, Canada, provides high performance, low cost PC Based Instruments and software for customers involved in building OEM products, manufacturing test systems and research and development.

AlazarTech was founded in 2003 by Muneeb Khalid, who was the original founder of Gage Applied Sciences Inc., a pioneer in PC Based Instrumentation.  That company was sold to Tektronix Inc. in 2000.

While AlazarTech manufactures some of the fastest PCI digitizers on the market, speed alone is not the only differentiating factor.  AlazarTech concentrates on providing usability features for its PCI digitizers that make them very easy to integrate into real-world OEM applications such as ultrasonic testing, medical imaging and radar signal analysis.

AlazarTech also works with selected OEMs to customize its products based on customer requirements.

The company's line of ATS PCI digitizers have been recognized by leading European, Asian and North American OEMs as being superior in quality to other devices on the market.

The company's products have found applications in industries such as medical imaging, metal inspection, automotive and semiconductor test.

AlazarTech sells its products directly in North America, and internationally through a distribution network.
