AlazarTech SDK Installation Notes
AlazarTech SDK version 5.8.2
© 2010 Alazar Technologies, Inc.
The AlazarTech SDK provides the files and documentation necessary for programmers to use functions exported by AlazarTech device drivers to acquire data from AlazarTech PCI/PCIe digitizer boards. It includes: a programmer’s guide and reference manual, header and library files, and sample code.
The AlazarTech SDK for Windows requires a PC running 32- or 64-bit versions of Windows, and about 400 MB of free disk space. It works with Windows 2000 and later.
To install the SDK, double click on the setup program and follow its instructions. By default, the setup program creates “C:\AlazarTech\ATS-SDK\5.8.2”, and copies the SDK documentation, libraries and header files, and sample programs to this directory.
Use the Windows “Add and Remove Programs” Control Panel applet to uninstall the SDK.
The AlazarTech SDK includes sample programs that demonstrate many of the different types of acquisitions possible with AlazarTech digitizer boards. Microsoft Visual C++ 6, Visual C++ 2008 or later is required to compile the C/C++ the samples. Microsoft Visual C # 2008 or later is required to compile the C# samples.
The drivers for your AlazarTech digitizer board must be installed on your PC to run the sample programs. Many of the sample programs require a trigger input signal, so a function generator or other suitable trigger source may be required.
Please contact us if you have any questions or comments about this SDK, or need assistance.
