Canadian Export Control Laws

ATS9373, ATS9360, ATS9625, and ATS9626 are controlled for export from Canada under Canadian ECL 1-3.A.2.h, which is equivalent to ECCN 3A002.h

Export Permit Fee

According to Canadian export control laws, an Export Permit is required for shipment of controlled products to any country that is not an eligible destination for a General Export Permit (eligible destinations are listed at the top of this page). Alazar Technologies charges a non-refundable Export Permit Fee to apply for an Export Permit. An Export Permit requires additional documentation about the End Use and the End-User. This process typically takes 40 business days, but it can take longer. Furthermore, there is a possibility that the Export Permit application may be denied by the Canadian government.

General Export Permit

Shipment of controlled products is permitted under a General Export Permit to eligible destinations (listed at the top of this page), provided that we have a completed and signed Export Compliance Statement (ECS) on file from the customer. The Canadian government requires us to report details of product quantities sold under General Export Permit, as well as information on end users and end-use on a per-country basis. We are also obliged to verify that the declared End-Use and End-Users fall within the limits prescribed in Canadian Export Control laws. We extract this information from the completed ECS document supplied by customers. Please note that if AlazarTech products will, directly or indirectly, be used for developing weapons or weapon delivery mechanisms, we cannot use the General Export Permit and must apply for an Export Permit. In these cases, an Export Permit Fee is applicable.
